Schools are ranked by the percentage of A and B grades achieved in the last four years (2006 to 2009) and only schools making an average of more than 45 entries per year have been included.
The data is obtained from the UK Independent Schools Council and from the schools themselves. Note that some schools have chosen not to release results for some years and in such cases the averages have been calculated from the results that are available.
